One King — One Kingdom

THE SECRET PLACE
“He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” (Psalm 91:1)

PART 9

ONE KING – ONE KINGDOM

Relativists teach the “wonderful” philosophy of emancipating humanity from the terrible representations of absolutism, the problem is the hypocrisy of how they believe their wisdom is “absolutely” true. The theme or standard of thought is that; “nothing is good or bad – it is thinking that makes it so”. It is not difficult to detect confusion from a worldview who teaches against teaching! It can be said that relativists are missionaries without a religion. They should consider practicing what they preach, or else preach what they practice. If they truly practice the relativism, they preach – they will stop preaching. If they preach what they practice – their eyes would be opened to a revelation of right and wrong. Relativism is inherently unstable as Sartre observed that no finite point has any meaning without an “infinite” reference point. Only if there is an eternal, trusted, fixed point by which we can measure and judge life – can we intelligently discuss the “meaning of life”. Without this perfect reference point, we can only interpret truth from our own individual, group, or cultural perspective. If we accept there is no standard by which to measure – life becomes a meaningless quest filled with opinions, theories, and endless disagreements.

I am not implying that I know all or have all of the truth, but rather I believe that GOD contains complete, perfect, eternal truth. Absolute truth is His nature and character, it is WHO HE IS and there is no one else in heaven, earth or the universe that can compare to Him or question Him. In today’s world, where scholars stumble in the darkness, it is common for religious peacemakers to come up with logical alternatives to religious diversity. The idea of ALL religions being included together as “one” truth, is such a wonderful storybook solution of peace, love and spiritual harmony. A brief example of some popular god’s that postmodern thinkers are trying to weave together would be, Biame, Rainbow serpent, Jupiter – optimus maximus, Zeus – father of all gods, Breged – the mother goddess, Ahura Mazda, Brahman, Rama, Krishna, Vishnu, Hashem, Allah and Queztalcoatl, just to name a few. In actuality, what they all have in common, is they are all God’s enemies trying to destroy the souls of humankind. Scholars in searching for answers to “please” everyone, have come up with four possible theories of how all the religions in the world can be understood:

THERE ARE MANY “REAL” GODS

THERE ARE NO REAL GODS

THERE IS ONE REAL GOD AND MANY FALSE GODS

THERE IS ONE REAL GOD BEING REPRESENTED IN DIFFERENT WAYS BY ALL RELIGIONS

It would be safe to say, that most everyone can agree with at least one of these options. Atheist would choose number two and those who pride themselves as being socially tolerant and politically correct would choose number one or number four. The Christian would not hesitate to choose number three because of scriptures like these, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of GOD: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Here is how you can know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of GOD. And, every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of GOD: and this is that spirit of ANTICHRIST, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is in the world. We are of GOD: he that knows GOD hears us; he that is not of GOD does not hear us. This is how we know the spirit of TRUTH, and the spirit of ERROR.” (I John 4:1-3, 6)

There can only be ONE creator that has no beginning, because it is this God that created all things. All other gods are an attempt to deceive the world and become “like” the original true God. False idols are imposters and imitations that desire to be exalted and worshipped, which is why it is idolatry, blasphemy and rebellion to love, worship, accept, adore or even tolerate a man-made object of adulation as being THE authority of heaven and earth. The one true God not only will never share His glory with no other, He considers them in direct opposition to His omniscience and omnipotence. There are no other deities that God Almighty will allow to be substituted for Him and there are no “good gods” trying to help Him “save” the world. The blood of Jesus is the only price that can forgive sin and redeem the human spirit. Satan is the Father of all lies, who navigates his kingdom within the demonic assault of anti-Christ, using this dark force to empower every false religion. When done with a pure and humble heart, there is no arrogance in making correct statements about divine reality. The deception of the world is a weeping tragedy and the absolute truth of one God, one Lord of all, one King, one Savior, one salvation, one Holy Spirit and one Holy Word, is the ONLY divine revelation “FACT” that can set the prisoners free. C.S. Lewis said, “A man does not call a line crooked unless he has some idea of a straight line.” The eyes of most of the world are blind because their spirit has not been transformed and their minds have not been renewed. Jesus said, “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believes on me should not abide in darkness.” (St. John 12:46)

It is not the Christian who is puffed up with an attitude of superiority or condemns the world, but rather they are the laborers who sow the seed of the gospel of salvation. They realize Jesus is the “only” way, the “only” truth and the “only” life and as they worship Him in Spirit and Truth, they reach out to everyone they can in LOVE, so that all can embrace Christ as their only hope to be forgiven and born-again. “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be SAVED. He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that does not believe is condemned already, BECAUSE HE HAS NOT BELIEVED IN THE NAME OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” (St. John 3:17-19) Many of the most brilliant philosophers have concluded that if we give up belief in God, we are left with despair in the realms of meaning, dignity, peace and morals.

The only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ. This statement is absolute truth – not because I said it, but because God’s Word IS TRUTH and to “personally” know Him, is to speak with holy reverence what He said. Satan hates this statement and it is no secret that he is trying to pervert and corrupt our entire society to discredit anyone who stands for God’s Word. It is now being accepted, in the highly respected halls of secular academia that Christians who make these proclamations are prejudiced, narrow-minded, ignorant, hate-filled, and delusional and a danger to society. The dark kingdom’s strategy, is to entangle all religions into a chaotic free-for-all that produces violence, or isolates them with hatred, jealousy and the deception that they can worship whomever they choose and will “still” be counted as worthy to receive eternal life in heaven. The tares in the parable of the sower are the religious people who were deceived, yet fervent in their zeal to worship other gods. They were respected in the eyes of the world as diligent, devoted and “equally” correct in their interpretation of religious truth, but in the judgment were NOT accepted as children of the ONE and ONLY TRUE God. Sincere intentions cannot override the perfect integrity of the Omniscient maker of everything. “He that sows the “good seed” is the Son of man; the field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; the enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of the world.” (Mathew 13:37-40) God is NOT fallible! It is impossible for Him to do anything that does not exactly agree with His Word. He is not cruel – He is loving and just, full of mercy and grace. He created every life, He is the standard of life and He is the judge of all. “Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who has ears to hear, let him hear.” (Mathew 13:43)

As Satan pushes his agenda for the world to embrace the idea that there are as many ways to heaven as there are concepts, we can clearly see he is just repeating his worn out lie from the Garden of Eden. “For God does know that in the day you eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and you will be AS GODS, knowing good and evil.” (Genesis 3:5) The “NEW AGE” is really an old mixture of elements from ancient religions and cults. The result is a philosophy that is designed to appeal to anyone, but save no one. The devil realizes that humankind does not “naturally” embrace the idea of yielding their will. With this in mind, he has discovered that people are attracted to the thought of being their own god and controlling their own destiny. Actually, one does not need to be a part of any group or movement to believe that God will accept whatever we do as spiritually valid and pure. The masses have always believed that sincerity and being a good person is good enough to allow the spirit into the eternal bliss of paradise. I hear all the time, “if you are just a good person, easy going, not mean and willing to give the shirt off your back, you’re going to make it. Just be a nice, moral person that provides for your family – that’s all God expects.” The “narrow” path is mentioned for a reason, it’s not just a clever saying – it is very real. Jesus did not die, so that He could be another entree on the religious buffet. His blood is our only forgiveness. His life is the only ransom for our spirit. Selah.

WALKING IN REVERENTIAL FEAR

THE WALK
PART 37

WALKING IN REVERENTIAL FEAR

I had every intention last week to begin a new series of articles about politics but I feel led to share another message relating to abandonment. I work in a busy environment of freight shipping that involves the constant incoming and outgoing of truck drivers that pull eighteen-wheelers. I see regular drivers that come in every day and pass through on their way to other states. This past week a Louisville driver came in and while he was out in the yard, he felt a little dizzy and out of breath. He came in and sat down and one of our managers (a longtime friend of his) offered to run him down to the clinic and just check it out. He told him that his arms were feeling tingly but he was feeling better and needed to get his load delivered. He left and later that evening had a massive heart attack and passed away. He was 54 years old and was planning to retire next year with 30 years service. A young man in every sense of the word and now his family must try to pick up the pieces of what could have been. I was thinking today about our existence on this planet and how our spiritual sensitivity should always be our priority. Of course, we are to prepare for everyday living in the secret chambers of our intimate prayers and worship with Father; however, it is crucial to actually “use” this anointing to touch others. The idea is to abide within His Spirit and be ready to say or do whatever He is “leading” us to do. This is being AWARE of His presence and our calling to obey is the heart of being a follower of Christ.

We are faced every day with people we know and those we have never met, but it is the moment of “contact” that God can use to accomplish His intentions. It is very common for me to chat with these drivers, listen to their stories and even eat lunch with them. However, in this particular case, here was a man that many people were in contact with throughout that day, yet did anyone hear God’s still small voice to warn him, or witness to him? I personally believe we are so caught up in our own “world” of what we are going to do and what we need to do, that we drown out the tender instructions of The Holy Spirit. I do not know if this man was saved and I certainly pray that he was, but if he was not, he is lost for all eternity. This bothers me a great deal and I am very sad to think that I or someone else could have discerned God’s directions to minister to him. I realize we cannot literally save anyone but we can be a communication “vessel” within the network that God has placed us in. We are not living in contact with those around us on accident – but rather on purpose. Selah. How many people are we walking past everyday and how many divine appointments has God been trying to connect with us that we are unaware of? We have not been called to focus all of our attention on OUR success and enjoyment. We have been called to become so close to God that we can hear Him when He whispers. When we sing about God opening the eyes of our heart, it means that we are pleading to be used and then by faith we are expecting to be used. If we are not looking for divine opportunities then no wonder we are walking right past them! What good are we to God’s Kingdom if we are investing our thoughts and deeds on ourselves? How can God use us as His last day remnant warriors if we are sleeping on the bed of selfishness? Let us not forget; we are NOT earthly people trying to be spiritual, but we are spiritual people trying to live on earth. This is not our eternal home and we need to stop investing everything we have into it! We are only using this body as a temporary shell and this earth as temporary housing, so that we can do “heavenly” labor. The reason why God said the highest attribute of all eternity is LOVE, is that until we develop an agape love for Him and His people, we will not know Him.
I do not apologize for repeating myself, as I cannot escape the urgency I feel for the remnant to be enlightened with the divine understanding of their spiritual sensitivity. At the core of our personal relationship with the Lord and Master of all things, there must be a solid foundation of the reverential fear of who God is and what we have been called to be. The reason why many Christians are not “living their knowledge” is that they have never received the revelation of being aware of God’s constant presence. It is this awareness that will control our thoughts and our intentions. This in turn will “lead” and guide our words and deeds as a direct connection from the Father to those we come in contact with. Our confidence to obey Him even in the tiny things is a part of the big picture of the gospel. Our sincere kindness, compassion, patience and generosity can open the door to introduce Jesus as the loving Savior of souls. “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and cover it under a container, but they put it on a candlestick; as it gives LIGHT unto all that are in the house.” (Mathew 5:14-15) His remnant will NOT live in a mediocre, “middle of the road” identification. Selah. “And Jesus said unto him, follow Me”. (Mark 2:14)

THE WALK OF THE CROSS II

THE WALK
PART 21

THE WALK OF THE CROSS II

I think about spiritual things throughout every day but I cannot seem to “brand” the awareness of His presence into my mind. I realize it takes a strong determination to stay focused on Him but my mind automatically pushes Him out and replaces Him with things of no value. Do you feel that your mind is being attacked lately with worry and fear? I have always been interested in God’s miracle power and the realm of the Spirit and I am always ready to discuss the Bible and the spiritual mysteries that are exciting and hopeful. However, the more that time goes on, the less people seem interested in these areas. In fact, just because a considerable percentage attends church, it does not mean they enjoy thinking about God or even talking about Him. Recently it is estimated that up to seventy percent of church members have never been truly born-again. It is sad to think of such a tragedy. This explains the lack of interest and spiritual blindness that seems to be everywhere. What else can it be? How long can a saved person ignore the calling of God? Year after year, some Christians do not feel the need to pray or study the Word. If you start talking about the call to take up our cross and follow Jesus, they roll their eyes and say they do not want to discuss it or that all theological ideas are subject to personal interpretation. Thank God, you are not like that! (?)

I have been told lately to my face that I really need to start practicing what I preach. I do feel the “sting” of this suggestion but I can take it because I know it is true. I admit that I have a long way to go and it does seem the more we learn and get excited about – the more challenges and opportunities we will have to “demonstrate” our newfound revelation. The devil quietly listens when we are praising God for His blessings and revealing His revelations. However, do not think for a moment that Satan is not also waiting for the perfect moment when he can at least “test the waters” to see if we really “get it”. If we succeed we can give God all the glory for moving through us but if we blow it, we can know that it was our fault and that we need to repent and go back to the drawing board. I have known people that constantly preached physical healing and would be the first in line to lay hands on the sick, nevertheless, when they were struck down with a physical infirmity they had no faith and gave up all hope. Why? The truth was in their spirit but their mind betrayed them. This is how we all are to some extent. Our spirit man ONLY accepts divine truth from God because that is the way we are spiritually wired. The “sheep” listening to the Shepherd is our spirit – but just because our spirit knows perfect truth and will only respond to God’s voice, it does not mean that we cannot totally mess everything up! This is because our MIND and SPIRIT can work “independently” (but is supposed to work in unity). For example, how many people who live by faith falter when stricken by saying, “Please Lord let me die”, instead of praying, “Lord please heal me!” This reminds me of so many people who ask constantly, “Lord, rapture me tonight that I might escape what is to come”, instead of praying, “Father, give me strength to do what you need me to do in these last days”. Selah. Let me say this again and I will use myself as an example, if I speak the truth of God and yet I cannot live it – it is not God that is failing in me – it is MY DOUBT and SIN that is NOT obeying Him and my lack of determination to obey His Word! If I make so many mistakes that I ruin my life, it does not mean that what I BELIEVED and SPOKE was not true. If the person who preached healing for 30 years dies of cancer, it does not mean that God does not heal! Amen? It just means there were several possibilities that happened within that particular circumstance that had a direct influence on the outcome. His Word is true whether we can live it or not! Praise God! If an alcoholic preacher delivers God’s Word, the divine power is in the Word – NOT the broken vessel. What we all need to do is start putting less faith in humans and more time in our prayer closets so that God can change us into what He has called us to be. People spend more time watching others stumble than they do examining their own heart. Selah.

Actually, the fact of not being able to live what we know is not a new problem. The Apostle Paul, a very knowledgeable and spiritual man of the time reveals his frustration in Romans chapter eight. He’s trying to live out what he knows is right and to stop doing what he knows is wrong. Allow me to use the Living Translation to make it easier for us to follow. “I don’t understand myself at all, for I really want to do what is right, but I can’t. I do what I DON’T want to do – what I hate. I know perfectly well that what I am doing is wrong, and my old conscience proves that I agree with these laws I am breaking. But, I can’t help myself, because I am no longer doing it. It is sin inside me that is stronger than I am that makes me do these evil things.” (Verses: 15-17) I know we are to have more willpower and discipline. I know we are to go and sin no more, but this is why the CROSS is so important in our battle with sin. As you have noticed, the influence of our flesh is strong and we must embrace His cross in order to harness its control. This includes even the smallest details of our thinking. If we cannot resist our urges in the tiny things, how can we be a spiritual overcomer that will cast out demons or lay hands on the sick? If we cannot fight the temptation to eat a cupcake, how will we ever become a faithful frontline warrior? Let us go deeper and look at this scripture. “I AM crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ who lives in me: and the life which I now live in the FLESH I live by the FAITH of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20) Here it appears that we have been redeemed by His grace and are secure with HIS righteousness that was activated by our faith within His BLOOD covenant. In this light, when Father sees us – He sees the righteousness of Jesus! He does not see our righteousness because even in our good times, our goodness is not good enough! Does this excuse us when we fail? Of course not! We are still accountable to Him when we sin and are required to be transformed into His image as our highest priority, but that is what HIS forgiveness is all about! Thank you Jesus! Yes, sanctification is a conscious, determined effort to be holy and is not to be ignored but our salvation does not fluctuate from moment to moment. The grace of the cross does not excuse our lack of effort as God knows our heart and mind, and if we are trying to get away with something behind His back, we are just fooling ourselves. But this is the beauty of His love in that we are not saved by how good we can LIVE – because if that were true, salvation would be based on a list of laws, which in turn would “turn the tables” making us worthy and DESERVING. Everything would boil down to how good we lived and would fall into the mindset of the self-righteous Pharisee. We are not playing a game to see who has the highest batting average. Yes, we are to pray, fast, study and be determined to WALK in His Divine Reality with all of our mind and strength but also to remember that His GRACE opened the door of opportunity for us to KNOW HIM! The thought finishes in the next verse, “I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness comes by the LAW – then Christ is dead in vain.”

I have been listening to many different opinions about politics and social issues lately. Some are saying that we must choose what is best for our families or the lesser of the many evils. Some are saying that morals do not trump the practical everyday life challenges of surviving with things like providing and making a living. It seems the more social subjects are brought into law, the more “numb” the masses become because all they are really wanting is money to be able to buy what they need. I believe when it is “boiled down” that most people do not really care about what is right or wrong because they do not live for God that much anyway. The only people who are truly offended with laws that endorse sin are the ones who have the revelation that God is holy and they in turn try to live holy also. As our laws continue to embrace humanism it is clear the anti-christ will continue dangling the carrot of money in front of the mule as he allows everyone to keep “enjoying their toys”. This will include participating in the mark of the beast and being counted within the New World Order. This will not fly with the remnant of God that is being prepared to face whatever persecution is on the horizon. I believe taking up our cross includes standing up for God’s truth no matter what the cost. If Christians are afraid of the consequences of being exposed as followers of Jesus, this reveals they need more faith that God will take care of them. If Christians are afraid of being persecuted this means they need to devote more time in spiritual fellowship with Him to build their confidence in Him.

Our life should be filled with wisdom and doing all that we can but at the same time we do NOT compromise or bargain with the devil in anything. Most people visit God on Sunday and try to figure out how to live on their own the rest of the week. This is NOT taking up our cross! Do HIS WILL and you will not have time to worry about the difficulties. If we OBEY His voice – He will provide the miracle power! Those that allow themselves to be deceived with the “fluffy” gospel will not want to fast and pray because their flesh knows that what God has to say is difficult and it would “interrupt” their carnal lifestyle. They will refuse to confess and meditate on God’s Word because they are so busy with their plans, ideas, and distractions of their own making. These are the ones who will be deceived. “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. And they will turn away their ears from the truth, and will be turned unto fables.” (II Timothy 4:3-4) Father we cry out to you, we need you desperately. Help us prioritize and “screen” everything we are involved in – through your CROSS. It is time for us to let go of things that have no meaning. It is time to put away our toys. Today is the day to KNOW YOU and your WORD and to TRUST you completely. In Jesus Name, amen.
